Nature Gazing Links.
Here are some websites that I've found invaluable:
General Nature Sites:
- Wild About Devon - Great site about the wildlife of Devon. Includes an interactive 'spottings' map and great nature posts.
- UK Safari - Fun and informative site that helped me identify the exciting Argiope bruennichi that I found on marshland in Devon.
- www.buglife.org.uk - Lovely site dedicated to all the small things in life. With some activities for your 'little ones' too!
- BBC Springwatch - Excellent site, with plenty to look at and enjoy. There's also less opportunity for 'Bloddie' to get overexcited and twitter on about nothing on the website!
- Wild About Britain - Brilliant forums, photos and ways to find out more about nature in Britain.
Butterflies:
- www.britishbutterflies.co.uk - Attractive and very useful site about butterflies. I know, the clue's in the title, isn't it!
Moths:
- ukmoths.org.uk - Great site for identifying those pretty moths you find about the place. The search engine is great - you can search by colour or feature (but you have to be quite specific - is it 'ruby', 'scarlet', or 'pink'?).
